Sterilization mechanism

1.      Effects of activated groups

There are lots of activated oxygen ions and high-energized free radical clusters ingredients in the plasma, which can be easily oxidized and degenerated after reacting with the protein and nucleic acid in the bacteria,spore and virus and to kill all kinds of microorganisms.

2.      Etching effects of high-speed particle

In the sterilized laboratory, the imagines of the bacteria and virus are all fragmented after the action of plasma through the electron microscope. This is caused by the etching effects of high-speed electrons and ions.

3.      Ultraviolet effects

There will be some ultraviolet to be generated when exciting hydrogen peroxide to form plasma. This kind of high-energy ultraviolet can be absorbed by the protein in the bacteria and virus, which then causes them denatured and inactivated.

4.      Effects of vaporized hydrogen peroxide

The strong oxidizability of hydrogen peroxide and its oxidation products can directly kill the bacteria by oxidating the outer structure of bacteria to destroy the permeability of cell barrier, and the material balance between the internal and external bacteria bodies.

   Only when the plasma is generated can the active group,high-speed particle,ultraviolet and hydrogen peroxide be produced.

Safe and no danger

    uses hydrogen peroxide as bactericidal agent, which combines into safe and non-toxic water molecules and oxygen molecules after hydrogen peroxide passes the plasma stage.

   The basic components of plasma are electrons,ions and neutral particles. Let ne be electron density, ni be ion density, ng be non-ionized neutral particle density. N is the plasma density when ne equals n and represents either density of the two charged particles. Ionization degree α is:

 α= ne /(ne + ng)

Only when α0.15, the required density for sterilization can be obtained.

Sterilization confines

1.      It takes place of some chemical sterilization.

   Instead of chemical sterilization it uses physical sterilization to protect the staffs,environment and the cleaned apparatus to be safe from the chemical substance.

2.      It sterilizes on precision apparatus.  It could avoid any harm to apparatus, such as different kinds of metallic and nonmetallic apparatus, electric dental and bone engine and endoscopes from high temperature.

3.  It sterilizes on high temperature non-resistant apparatus.

It could sterilize on high temperature non-resistant apparatus like electronic apparatus and that made of glasses, silicon rubber, polyethylene and nylon. It includes high frequency electric knife, sensor lead, battery, mechanical and electrical equipment, fiber endoscope and so on.

4.  It provides non-harm and rapid sterilization on different kinds of heat non-resistant apparatus, electron apparatus,glasses apparatus and ceramic apparatus in the biological laboratory, asepsis laboratory and pharmaceutical area.

Low temperature plasma sterilizer is not suitable for the followings: items made of plant fiber materials, such as cloth; any materials or apparatus that can absorb liquid; the disposable instruments and medical articles that were not suggested to be repeatedly used by manufactures. 

Sterilization process

1.       The vacuum stage

Make the vacuum in sterilization room reach the vacuum condition on which the plasma can discharge.

2.       Liquid injection and diffusion stage

The hydrogen peroxide solution can be automatically injected by the system and vaporizes into molecules, which diffuse in the full sterilization room uniformly.

3.       Plasma stage

Under the action of RF, the evaporated H2O2 can produce plasma which kills microorganisms though the active Free-radical effects of low temperature plasma. When the RF wave stops, the ionic state ends and transforms into stable oxygen molecule and hydrogen molecule. In order to ensure the sterilization effect, the liquid injection and diffusion stage and plasma stage should be repeated.

4.       Inflation stage

It is the last stage of sterilization circulation. Filtrated clear air gets into the sterilization room when open the ventilation gate. The sterilization process finishes when the negative pressure in the inner room restores to one atmospheric
